Detailed review of the game :
So I played the new, free Geometry Dash app called Geometry Dash World. I played it on my phone because I didn’t wanna have to set up something like Bluestacks once again, what I did for Geometry Dash Meltdown. So no playthrough but instead I decided to do a review post. And in my opinion Geometry Dash world has a lot of potential. Or it shows a lot of potential for something like 2.1. Because there’s a lot of new content and most importantly all of those collectibles, like we have gems, we have orbs and keys.
So we don’t only have the stars and the coins anymore. But lots of more things and there’s a shop and also secrets where you can use these things that you have acquired. And by the way in the shop you can buy some acorns and the acorns look amazing. Like, the acorns are super awesome. They look very polished. They look like they have a lot of personality and detail. I love the acorns. And there are various ways to get all of these collectibles like, obviously, you can just beat levels and get them. But there’s also a new thing, a new addition. And those are the dailies.
And I think the dailies are super promising for 2.1 if they’re included there too. Because they’re pretty much just user levels, the ones you can play in the base game of Geometry Dash. But they’re like extra featured. So if you get a feature that’s awesome! But I think if you get a daily feature, your level isn’t just suggested to the player. They’re actually being told you have to play this level in order to get your daily gems or stars or whatever. So this will really, I think, make players just come back to Geometry Dash and play it regularly every day just to have their daily grind for more gems, for more stuff and stuff like that.
More levels for Geometry dash world:
But my problem, the big problem is that as an app on its own Geometry Dash World is kinda lacking. There are 10 new official levels and they’re all super short, like I don’t even think comparable to the levels in Meltdown. They’re about 30 seconds each. And honestly they’re not very good looking. Sometimes when I played it it felt like this: So it’s really quantity over quality. But I have to say they do get better as you progress and you do see some new stuff which is probably going to be in 2.1. Like, there are some new, I think, blocks or new effects.
And there are some new backgrounds which look really cool. And I think I saw some new objects like spinning scythes and also I have to say the music choice is super nice! I really enjoyed the music. But as a PC player honestly the hype really still is for 2.1. That’s the main thing because I can actually seriously do some stuff with that. And personally, so many apps are worse than only one big one. And it does make sense. So many free apps do get more attention to Geometry Dash. More players. And of course with the ads there’s money. Which I can’t even really complain about because who doesn’t like money? $ $ $ It all makes perfect sense.
